$7.9 Million Awarded By California Jury To Truck Driver Injured In Forklift Accident

(July 20, 2020, 8:17 PM EDT) -- WOODLAND, Calif. — A California jury awarded a truck driver and his wife $7.9 million on July 6 for injuries he sustained when he was run over by a forklift, which required the amputation of his leg below the knee.  The trial, which was suspended from March to June, was one of the first to reach a verdict after the COVID-19 pandemic shut down courthouses across the state, according to the plaintiffs’ attorneys (Bhupinder Singh, et al. v.
