Judge Awards Nissan Summary Judgment In Franchised Motor Vehicle Dealer Act Suit

(NNA) in a suit brought by two dealerships that accused the franchisor of violating New York’s Franchised Motor Vehicle Dealer Act by refusing to provide them with customer lists of former area dealerships and reneging on an agreement to provide a $3 million working capital loan and a $4 million revolving line of credit, holding that the franchisees released their claims against the franchisor when signing an additional agreement that contained a release provision that absolve the franchisor of liability (ACIM NY LLC, et al. v.
