Tobacco Companies Sue Oklahoma Government Over New Tax On Cigarettes

Reynolds Tobacco Co. on June 7 joined Oklahoma tobacco wholesalers in filing a writ of prohibition to the state Supreme Court over the government’s attempt to pass a tax that would require tobacco wholesalers to pay an additional $1.50 per pack of cigarettes (James P.
