(September 26, 2020, 9:14 AM EDT) -- MIAMI — A federal judge in Florida on Aug. 28 denied a loan servicer's motion to dismiss claims in a woman's class action lawsuit accusing it of violating the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA) and Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA), finding that statutes apply to the loan servicer's charging of convenience fees for making monthly payments over the phone and online (Donna Alvarez v.
