5th Circuit Finds ACA Accommodations Don’t Burden Religion

Mealey's (June 24, 2015, 12:57 PM EDT) -- HOUSTON — Plaintiffs’ objections to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) accommodation process challenge third-party conduct that does not substantially burden religious practice, a Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel held June 22 (University of Dallas; Roman Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth, et al.; and East Texas Baptist University, et al.; and Catholic Diocese of Beaumont, et al.; Westminster Theological Seminary, intervenor, v.
