Government Seeks Reconsideration, Appeals Birth Control Injunction

Mealey's (June 11, 2015, 1:59 PM EDT) -- ATLANTA — The government on May 23, 2014, filed a notice of appeal challenging a preliminary injunction in a contraceptive mandate case after asking the court to reconsider its decision (The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta, et al. v. Kathleen Sebelius, in her official capacity as Secretary, United States Department of Health and Human Services, et al., No. 12-3489, N.D. Ga.; 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 39617).
