Groups: Standing Exists In Case Against Federal Agency Related To Fracking Leases

Mealey's (June 28, 2016, 3:28 PM EDT) -- LOS ANGELES — Environmental groups that contend that hydraulic fracturing will further exacerbate the contamination of California's groundwater with toxins on June 24 filed a brief in California federal court arguing that they have demonstrated a concrete injury sufficient to establish standing in their lawsuit against a federal agency they claim failed to fulfill its duties when it approved hydraulic fracturing operations on more than 1 million acres of open land (Center for Biological Diversity, et al. v.
