West Virginia Woman: Fracking Company Used ‘Trickery’; Lease Has Expired

Va. — A West Virginia landowner on Oct. 10, 2014, filed a brief in West Virginia federal court contending that the hydraulic fracturing company with which she entered a lease used “trickery” in its attempt to extend an expired oil and gas exploration lease; therefore, the company is not entitled to dismissal of her lawsuit (Frances Braden v.
