Innovator Liability Denied In Mirapex Compulsive Gambling Lawsuit
(June 21, 2016, 1:51 PM EDT) -- MINNEAPOLIS — A Minnesota federal judge on June 16 granted summary judgment in a Mirapex compulsive gambling lawsuit, finding that the Indiana Supreme Court would not recognize the theory of innovator liability against the brand-name manufacturers of the drug (In Re: Mirapex Products Liability Litigation, MDL Docket No. 1836, No. 07-1836, Kathryn Gillette, et al. v. Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc., et al., No. 15-3005, D. Minn.).
