Government Tells Judge Opt Out Prevents Burden From Birth-Control Mandate

Mealey's (June 11, 2015, 12:42 PM EDT) -- MIAMI — Independent legal obligations require third-party administrators to provide contraceptives under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), not a religious school’s decision to opt out of the mandate, the government told a Florida federal judge May 2, 2014, (Ave Maria School of Law v. Kathleen Sebelius, et al., No. 13-795, M.D. Fla.).
