Appeals Panel: Horizontal Drilling Will Not Interfere With Rights Of Landowner

Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 3:58 PM EDT) -- SAN ANTONIO — An appeals panel in Texas on Oct. 29, 2014, ruled that an oil company that owned mineral rights was not entitled to an injunction preventing a hydraulic fracturing company from drilling under its land horizontally from an adjacent property (Lightning Oil Company v. Anadarko E&P Onshore LLC f/k/a Anadarko E&P Company, No. 04-14-00152, Texas App., 4th Dist.; 2014 Tex. App. LEXIS 11844).
