Mealey's (October 6, 2022, 4:27 PM EDT) -- BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A New York medical equipment company in a complaint filed in a New York federal court seeks the return of a $323,640 down payment it made to a health care product distributor for a shipment of nitrile gloves it never received as part of least $700,000 in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages, accusing the manufacturer of breach of contract, fraud, breach of the implied duty of good faith and fair dealing and unjust enrichment and contending that the failure to return the deposit when it was clear that the distributor could not fulfill the order deprived it of other economic opportunities....
