Judge Enforces Arbitration Award In Favor Of Tribe’s Internet Gaming Plan
Mealey's (April 22, 2016, 2:42 PM EDT) -- OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma federal judge on April 18 certified an arbitrator’s finding that a Native American tribe’s plan to conduct casino gambling games over the Internet with players outside the state but using servers located on the tribe’s land is not unlawful under a gaming compact with the state or federal, state or tribal law (Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma v. State of Oklahoma, No. 5:15-cv-01379, W.D. Okla.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 51310).
