Nonparty Subpoenaed In Fracking Lease Dispute Says Plaintiffs Misstate Law
Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 9:15 AM EDT) -- OKLAHOMA CITY — A gas exploration company that is a nonparty in a lease dispute between Oklahoma residents and another fracking company on Feb. 19 filed a brief in federal court arguing that the plaintiffs misstate Oklahoma law relating to the nonparty’s relationship with the defendant in the litigation and whether the nonparty owes the residents royalties (Wade Gagnon, et al. v. Merit Energy Company LLC f/k/a Merit Energy Company, No. 14-01303, W.D. Okla.).
