Fracking Companies Say Mineral Rights Lease Properly Extended

Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 4:37 PM EDT) -- COLUMBUS, Ohio — A group of oil and gas exploration companies being sued by a landowner who contends that the companies’ extension of the mineral lease was ineffective on Jan. 12 moved in Ohio federal court to toll the primary term of the lease, contending that the lease was properly extended (Jeanette Allton v. Chesapeake Exploration LLC, et al., No. 14-01685, S.D. Ohio).
