Magistrate Judge Recommends Not Exercising Jurisdiction Over Fees Dispute

(March 14, 2016, 8:16 AM EDT) -- NEW YORK — A federal magistrate judge in New York on March 2 recommended that a court decline to exercise ancillary jurisdiction over a dispute between a man accused of being involved with a scheme to submit fraudulent bills to the Government Employees Insurance Co. (GEICO) and his former attorney because the court is no longer familiar with the case (Government Employees Insurance Company, et al. v. Vladimir Grinberg, et al., No. 12 Civ. 2448, E.D. N.Y.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 28244).
