Firing Of Bartender At Cherokee Casino Over Number Of Drinks Served Disputed

(March 9, 2016, 1:01 PM EST) -- TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — A tribal court incorrectly deferred to a ruling by the tribe’s employee appeals board when the court affirmed the board’s sustention of a casino bartender’s firing for allegedly serving too many drinks to a patron, the former bartender said Feb. 8 on appeal with the Cherokee Nation Supreme Court (Rudi Nolan v. Cherokee Nation Businesses, LLC, No. SC-15-12, Cherokee Sup.).
