Government: Water Districts Lack Standing To Represent Individual Water Users

(February 10, 2016, 7:13 AM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — Fourteen water districts have no standing to bring claims that the federal government unlawfully took water from them, the United States says in a Jan. 22 motion to dismiss the districts’ claims (Klamath Irrigation District, et al. v. United States of America, et al., No. 01-591L, Fed. Clms.).
