Mealey's (July 22, 2020, 8:31 AM EDT) -- SAN DIEGO — A federal judge in California on July 1 granted a Chinese electric car manufacturer's motion to compel arbitration of a U.S. company's claims regarding the parties' contractual payment obligations and denied without prejudice the manufacturer's motion for sanctions as the judge found that factual findings regarding the allegedly sanctionable conduct should be made independently during arbitration in Singapore (Mullen Technologies, Inc. v. Qiantu Motor [Suzhou] Ltd., et al., No. 19-1979, S.D. Calif., 2020 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 116323)....
