6th Circuit Won’t ‘Enforce’ Its Opioid MDL Order, Won’t Replace MDL Judge

(July 20, 2020, 1:57 PM EDT) -- CINCINNATI — The Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on July 16 denied a motion by six pharmacy defendants to “enforce” the court’s April 15 order reversing amendments to two opioids complaints and said there is no basis for the court to remove the Ohio federal judge who is presiding over the opioid multidistrict litigation (In Re:  National Prescription Opiate Litigation [In Re:  CVS Pharmacy, Inc., et al.], No. 20-3075, 6th Cir., 2020 U.S. App. LEXIS 22245)....
