9th Circuit Says Notice Requirements Not Violated In Housing Overpayment Dispute
Mealey's (June 17, 2015, 9:48 AM EDT) -- SAN FRANCISCO — A panel of the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on March 26 reversed a lower court decision, holding instead that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development did not violate notice and hearing requirements when it sought overpayment of funds from the Crow Tribal Housing Authority (Crow Tribal Housing Authority v. U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, No. 13-35284, 9th Cir.; 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 4914).
