Motion To Certify Mold, Water Damage Suit As Class Action Denied

Mealey's (April 8, 2020, 8:53 AM EDT) -- MACON, Ga. — A Georgia federal judge on April 7 denied a motion to certify a suit filed by homeowners as a class action because the homeowners, who claim that their insurer failed to include coverage for diminished value of their home following water and mold damages, failed to satisfy the commonality and predominance requirements necessary to certify a class (Barbara Morrow, et al. v. Allstate Indemnity Co., et al., No. 16-137, M.D. Ga., 2020 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 60330)....
