$50,000 Punitive Damage Award For Dog Bite Affirmed By Georgia Appeals Court

Mealey's (February 25, 2020, 12:47 PM EST) -- ATLANTA — A Georgia appeals court on Feb. 18 affirmed a $50,000 punitive damage award against a couple whose dog bit a postal worker several times, saying there was sufficient evidence that the dog was aggressive and was not being properly trained or restrained, including two previous incidents in which the dog bit people (Paul Jones, et al. v.
