Texas Federal Judge Finds Tribe Violated Injunction Prohibiting Gaming

Mealey's (June 16, 2015, 3:53 PM EDT) -- EL PASO, Texas — A federal judge in Texas on March 6 granted the state’s motion for contempt by the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo Indian tribe and its agents for violating an injunction prohibiting gaming devices on the reservation in violation of state law without court approval of any modifications to the order (Texas v. Ysleta Del Sur Pueblo, No. 99-320, W.D. Texas; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 28026).
