Federal Judge Partly Reinstates Injunction Of NSA Data Collection Program

Mealey's (November 10, 2015, 2:13 PM EST) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — Finding that the plaintiffs in a putative class action challenging the constitutionality of the U.S. government’s metadata collection program had sufficiently added plaintiffs that cured their previous standing deficiencies, a District of Columbia federal judge on Nov. 9 again granted a motion preliminarily enjoining the National Security Agency from collecting any further data on those plaintiffs during the program’s remaining term (Larry Elliott Klayman, et al. v. Barack Hussein Obama, et al., No. 1:13-cv-00851, D. D.C.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 151826).
