Johnson & Johnson Settles Los Angeles Asbestos-Talc Suit After Opening Arguments

(March 29, 2019, 12:22 PM EDT) -- LOS ANGELES — Johnson & Johnson (J&J) settled a 36-year-old woman’s California asbestos-talc suit March 27 after telling the jury in opening arguments that the suit was a script with no underlying documentation or evidence in support.  The plaintiff told the jury earlier that day that any paucity in the record stemmed from the company structuring tests intentionally to miss the presence of asbestos, sources told Mealey’s Publications (Gail Koretoff, et al. v.
