Boston Scientific Pelvic Mesh Trial Under Way In North Carolina Federal Court

(October 8, 2015, 1:32 PM EDT) -- STATESVILLE, N.C. — A trial involving a Boston Scientific Corp. pelvic mesh device got under way Oct. 6 in a North Carolina federal court (Ramona Winebarger, et al. v. Boston Scientific Corp., No. 15-57, W.D. N.C.).

In 2010, Martha Carlson, then 65, was implanted with an Uphold pelvic mesh device made by Boston Scientific to treat her pelvic organ prolapse.
