Judge Enjoins ACA Contraceptive Mandate, New Accommodation Rules

Mealey's (June 16, 2015, 9:12 AM EDT) -- OKLAHOMA CITY — The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) contraceptive mandate imposes a burden on religious members of a Catholic benefits association not subject to exemption, a burden not relieved by the newly formulated accommodation, a federal judge in Oklahoma held Dec. 29 (The Catholic Benefits Association LCA; The Catholic Insurance Co. v. Sylvia M. Burwell, et al., No. 14-685, W.D. Okla.).
