Trade Secret Law Counterclaims Survive Summary Judgment Motion

Mealey's (May 15, 2018, 3:09 PM EDT) -- RICHMOND, Va. — A federal judge in Virginia on May 10 denied a company’s motion for summary judgment on counterclaims for violation of state and federal trade secret misappropriation laws after ordering supplemental briefing on the issue of damages, ruling that the defendants’ damages expert properly apportioned damages between specific trade secrets in his report (Steves & Sons Inc. v. JELD-WEN Inc., No. 16-0545, E.D. Va., 2018 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 80306).
