Majority Affirms Denial Of Insured’s Petition For Class Action Certification

(September 23, 2015, 11:50 AM EDT) -- PITTSBURGH — A majority of the Pennsylvania Superior Court on Sept. 11 affirmed a lower court’s ruling that denied an insured’s petition for certification of his class action alleging that an automobile insurer conducted deceptive insurance practices and violated the state’s Consumer Protection Law (Matthew John Vensko v. Encompass Home and Auto Insurance Co., No. 1316 WDA 2014, Pa. Super.; 2015 Pa. Super. Unpub. LEXIS 3271).
