10th Circuit Stays Government Appeal Of ACA Tax Subsidies Ruling
Mealey's (June 15, 2015, 2:50 PM EDT) -- DENVER — The 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Nov. 19, 2014, held in abeyance the government’s appeal of a ruling striking down the Internal Revenue Service’s interpretation that individuals who enroll in insurance through Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) state exchanges are entitled to tax subsidies (State of Oklahoma, ex rel. Scott Pruitt v. Sylvia Mathews Burwell, et al., No. 14-7080, 10th Cir.).
