(March 29, 2018, 12:10 PM EDT) -- DES MOINES, Iowa — An Iowa appeals panel on March 21 affirmed dismissal of a suit brought by two men challenging rulings that removed them as powers of attorney and found that an elderly man with Alzheimer’s disease was “a dependent adult subject to dependent adult abuse,” holding that the action was subject to issue preclusion because they could have appealed the decisions in an earlier proceeding brought by the state (Jay Driesen, et al. v.
