Florida Supreme Court Declines To Review $33 Million Tobacco Verdict

Mealey's (March 13, 2018, 10:09 AM EDT) -- TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida Supreme Court on March 12 denied a tobacco company’s petition to review a $33 million verdict in an Engle progeny suit in which a woman claimed that two tobacco companies hid the dangers of cigarettes from her husband, leading to his lung cancer and death (R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. v. Linda Enochs, No. SC17-2003, Fla. Sup., 2018 Fla. LEXIS 642).
