Insurer Says Arbitration Umpire Is Evidently Partial To Reinsurer

(September 15, 2015, 1:56 PM EDT) -- NEW YORK — A foreign insurer in a federal court in New York on Sept. 14 said certain reinsurance arbitration awards should be vacated because the arbitration’s umpire was allegedly evidently partial to the reinsurer (National Indemnity Company v. IRB Brasil Resseguros S.A., No. 15-cv-03975, S.D. N.Y.).
