Judge In Cymbalta Withdrawal Class Action Case Denies Default Judgment Sanction

(September 2, 2015, 9:19 AM EDT) -- LOS ANGELES — A California federal judge on Aug. 17 denied entering a sanction of default judgment against Eli Lilly and Co. in a Cymbalta withdrawal class action but reserved ruling on other forms of sanctions (Jennifer L. Saavedra, et al. v. Eli Lilly and Company, No. 12-9366, C.D. Calif.).

Plaintiffs in the purported class action on Aug. 11 filed a sealed motion for sanctions against Lilly in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
