Federal Judge Strikes Down Ohio False-Speech Law In ACA Advertising Case

Mealey's (June 12, 2015, 4:28 PM EDT) -- CINCINNATI — Ohio’s false statements law is unconstitutionally broad and likely to chill speech, a federal judge held Sept. 11, 2014, in striking down the law in a case involving advertising related to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) (Susan B. Anthony List, et al. v. Ohio Elections Commission, et al., No. 10-720, S.D. Ohio; 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 127382).
