(September 25, 2017, 2:16 PM EDT) -- ELGIN, Ill. — In an unpublished opinion on Sept. 21, a panel of the Second District Illinois Appellate Court affirmed a ruling of summary judgment in favor of a hair salon after finding that it did not owe of duty to protect a woman from slipping on ice because the woman slipped on ice beyond the boundaries of its leased premises (Chanel Thomas v.
