Company Tells 3rd Circuit Maritime Law Rejects Third-Party Parts Liability

(August 24, 2015, 3:10 PM EDT) -- PHILADELPHIA — The simplicity favored by maritime law and black-letter tort law both reject holding manufacturers liable for third-party asbestos parts, a company told the Third Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals Aug. 10 (Roberta G. DeVries, et al. v. Buffalo Pumps Inc., et al., No. 15-1278, 3rd Cir.).
