6th Circuit Finds Lenders Did Not Violate FDCPA, Affirms Remand
(August 11, 2015, 12:58 PM EDT) -- CINCINNATI — The Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Aug. 4 affirmed a district court's decision to remand an eviction proceeding filed by two lenders, finding that the borrower's motion to remand was untimely and that she failed to show that the defendants violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) (Joann Mary Yaldo v. Homeward Residential Inc., et al., No. 14-2593, 6th Cir.; 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 13864).
