6th Circuit Issues Injunction Pending Appeal Of ACA Birth-Control Case
Mealey's (June 12, 2015, 11:47 AM EDT) -- DETROIT — A Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel on July 9, 2014, enjoined implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) contraceptive mandate while it handles an appeal, noting that the government no longer opposes such relief in light of the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Hobby Lobby (Mersino Management Co., et al. v. Kathleen Sebelius, et al., No. 13-1944, 6th Cir.).
