Insurer’s Documents Related To Medical Consultants Are Subject To Protective Order
Mealey's (August 7, 2015, 8:43 AM EDT) -- BOSTON — A disability insurer’s documents related to contracts the insurer had with third-party medical consultants are subject to a protective order because the contracts include sensitive information that could be detrimental to the insurer if released in the marketplace, a Massachusetts federal magistrate judge said July 29 (Elizabeth Wilson v. Pharmerica Corp. Long Term Disability Plan, et al., No. 14-12345, D. Mass.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 99026).
