Federal Judge Orders Additional Discovery On Borrowers' TILA Claim

Mealey's (August 6, 2015, 12:24 PM EDT) -- GREENBELT, Md. — A Maryland federal judge on Aug. 4 denied a bank's motion for summary judgment on a claim for violation of the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), finding that more discovery must be done to determine when the bank actually acquired the loan (Phillip & Deirdre Ward v. Branch Banking & Trust, No. 13-1968, D. Md.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 101662).
