8th Circuit Holds Jewish Nurse Failed To Prove Firing Was Because Of Religion

LOUIS — A Jewish nurse who was fired from her job at a Christian medical center failed to prove that her termination was due to her religious beliefs, the Eighth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled July 16, affirming a trial court’s decision (Rebecca Shirrell v. St. Francis Medical Center, et al., No. 14-2594, 8th Cir.; 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 12260).
