Widow Says Excess Insurer Is Legally Bound To Honor Assignment Of Rights

Mealey's (October 25, 2016, 9:55 AM EDT) -- BOSTON — The widow of a man killed after falling bricks knocked him off a ladder has asked the First Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals to rule that a federal judge erred in dismissing her declaratory judgment action against an excess insurer for the responsible defendant (Lucia Salvati, et al. v. The American Insurance Company, No. 16-1403, 1st Cir.).
