New Jersey Panel Affirms Order Compelling Arbitration Involving Nonsignatories

Mealey's (October 20, 2016, 7:10 AM EDT) -- TRENTON, N.J. — A New Jersey appellate panel issued an unpublished opinion on Oct. 13, affirming a lower court order compelling arbitration of a workers’ compensation insurance premium dispute, holding that two nonsignatories to a reinsurance agreement relating to the workers’ compensation insurance were still incorporated in the reinsurance agreement with its arbitration clause (Jade Apparel, Inc., et al. v. United Assurance, Inc., et al., No. A-2001-14T1, N.J. Super., App. Div.; 2016 N.J. Super. Unpub. LEXIS 2250).
