Patient Referrer Sentenced To 12 Months In Prison For Role In Scheme
(October 18, 2016, 2:15 PM EDT) -- HOUSTON — A man who pleaded guilty to paying kickbacks for referring Medicare beneficiaries to a sleep disorder center was sentenced Oct. 13 to 12 months in prison and ordered to pay $1.1 million in restitution by a federal judge in Texas (United States of America v. Leonard Kibert, et al., No. 14-cr-224, S.D. Texas).
