United States Tells Judge Risk Corridor Claims Are Unripe, Outside Jurisdiction

(October 18, 2016, 1:43 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — An insurance company’s claims challenging alleged nonpayment of funds under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) risk corridor program are not yet ripe, and the court lacks jurisdiction over them, the United States told the U.S. Court of Federal Claims on Sept. 16 (First Priority Life Insurance Co. Inc., et al. v. The United States of America, No. 16-587, Fed. Clms.).
