Insured Failed To Show That Insurer Breached Its Contract, Judge Rules
Mealey's (October 18, 2016, 12:52 PM EDT) -- SEATTLE — An insured has failed to show that an insurer acted in bad faith in handling a claim for coverage pursuant to an automobile insurance policy because the insured has failed to first show that there was any breach of the insurance contract, a federal judge in Washington ruled Oct. 13 (Kristopher Crowthers v. The Travelers Indemnity Co., No. 16-606, W.D. Wash.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 142123).
