6th Circuit: Performance Issues, Not Age Bias Caused Wal-Mart Worker’s Firing

Mealey's (October 13, 2016, 11:26 AM EDT) -- CINCINNATI — A Wal-Mart Stores Inc. employee who was terminated following a safety-hazard incident failed to show that the real reason for her firing was her age, the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled Sept. 9 (Reva E. Richardson v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., No. 15-1142, 6th Cir.; 2016 U.S. App. LEXIS 16565).
