Federal Judge Allows Deceased Hockey Player’s Parents To File 2nd Complaint

Mealey's (October 4, 2016, 1:51 PM EDT) -- CHICAGO — A federal judge in Illinois on Sept. 30 allowed the parents of a deceased National Hockey League (NHL) player to file a second amended complaint for the alleged wrongful death of their son because new claims brought in the amended complaint claim actual harm caused by the NHL (Len Boogaard, et al. v. National Hockey League, et al., No. 13-C-4846, N.D. Ill.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 134232).
